Happy Valentine’s from Atsuko Kudo

2012 February 6
by aklatex_admin

Dear Hearts,

We wish you a very Happy Valentine and all the joys that love and romance may bring!

This year our Valentine sweetheart is the beautiful Alison resplendent on the runway in a riot of red Atsuko Kudo latex lingerie.

To celebrate we have created some special Atsuko Kudo Valentine gift packs so that you can give your beau some extra loving warmth in this coldest of seasons.

Atsuko Kudo Valentine Gift Packs

All gift packs and the usual array of sensual accessories are available from the Atsuko Kudo online boutique www.atsukokudo.com and there’s still time to ship for Valentine’s Day to most locations (if in doubt please contact us to check).

We are very happy to say that for the month of February some of our cutest accessories are now also on sale at cool make up store Illamasqua in their London (Beak St), Liverpool and Leeds branches.

The joint MD of Illamasqua, Joseph Corré, who is also well known for having established legendary lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, has written about the collaboration …
“Atsuko Kudo represents the pinnacle of quality and design in latex fantasy and couture wear. These are qualities that Illamasqua share and therefore it is a pleasure to collaborate with them on this super sexy little accessory collection for Valentine’s day”.

From our perspective, Atsuko Kudo is very happy to collaborate with fabulous make up artistes, Illamasqua for this Valentine season. Illamasqua create luxurious make up to enhance the natural beauty of the alter ego, whilst Atsuko Kudo creates couture latex clothing and accessories for those who wish to look and feel beautiful, feminine and strong. So the two brands are following a very similar path – helping anyone who wants to find a different and exciting version of the person already within themselves.

It is not always easy to find kindred spirits and so this Valentine’s Atsuko Kudo is thrilled to be having a little love affair with Illamasqua!

There is also a capsule collection of AK lingerie and accessories on sale at luxury erotic boutique Coco de Mer London (Covent Garden).

And of course you can also shop the full AK collection in store at:

We wish that you can find love and be loved this Valentine’s Day and … forever.

Love and kisses…

Atsuko Kudo on Cover of Fabulous Magazine Future Issue

2012 January 7
by aklatex_admin

Welcome to 2012! And whilst it may not feel exactly like the future we all hoped for maybe there’s room for some optimism?
Atsuko Kudo starts the year with a bang featuring on the cover of Fabulous magazine’s ‘Future’ issue as new TV star Laura Whitmore models our Linde mini dress in black. This is a classically elegant style which has already proved popular in the AK store and we feel Laura definitely wears it like a star of the future!

You can click through from here to see other shots of this and other new styles.

In the same issue, hotly tipped new singer Tanya Lacey rocks another new AK style – our Mermaid briefs. This time shot in glistening futuristic monochrome – however we can let you know that the colour in the shot is in fact Electric Leaf – a kind of aqua metallic green. We first demonstrated this finish last year when AK made the mermaid looks for the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD launch – hence the colour and finish. But these briefs and the matching bra which accompanies them will be available in all of the usual colours including pinks, reds and of course classic black.

We wish everyone all the best for 2012.

Doutzen Kroes in Atsuko Kudo Catsuit – Not a Nightmare Before Christmas!

2011 December 20

We recently received these shots of Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes in an Atsuko Kudo classic black catsuit attending Heidi Klum’s Halloween Party – which of course was a couple of months ago – at Halloween!

We couldn’t resist sharing them now just in case anyone loves Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas as much we do and wants to confuse the pagan festivals of Halloween and Christmas! Doutzen proves a fierce look goes anytime as she works the AK latex into a hot fury on the red carpet!

Meanwhile Perez Hilton covered her every move on CocoPerez.

All she needed was Jack Skellington, the Oogie Boogie Man and Sandy Claws. If you know the movie you’ll know what we mean, if you haven’t seen it treat yourself this Christmas!

And in the mean time here’s a clip of Doutzen preparing for the party….

Atsuko Kudo Latex Ballerina Looks for Lady Gaga’s ‘Marry the Night’ Video

2011 December 2

A few weeks ago Atsuko Kudo was commissioned to provide the latex ballerina looks for Lady Gaga’s ‘Marry the Night’ video. The results can be seen today in Gaga’s first self directed promo.

AK was asked to provide 6 identical looks featuring  jackets and tutus.

We have previously worked on some very challenging projects for Gaga but this one was by far the biggest challenge yet to Atsuko’s latex couturier’s skills!

We’re very happy with how everything looks in the finished piece and you can see the full length epic version here…Marry the Night Video

Atsuko Kudo in Top 100 List of London Shops

2011 November 29

We are very thrilled to find that Atsuko Kudo now features in Time Out London’s top 100 shops. In fact we are deemed to be the 83rd best shop in London and the only latex clothing shop in the top 100 – which is a very nice accolade. It’s perhaps more interesting to note that we are only 5 places below legendary London toy shop Hamley’s on Regent St and a mere 4 below equally legendary umbrella shop James Smith & Son – a London institution which has been open since 1830.

A further accolade is that Time Out have placed AK in the luxury designer section alongside such luminaries as Louis Vuitton Maison, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Nicholas Kirkwood and Mulberry – we feel very flattered to be in such company and hope that even more of you are encouraged to visit us in beautiful Highbury & Islington!

Atsuko Kudo at the V&A’s ‘Ballgowns’ Exhibition

2011 November 16

Here at Atsuko Kudo we are delighted to have been asked to participate in next spring’s major fashion exhibition at London’s iconic V&A Museum. The exhibition is ‘Ballgowns – British Glamour Since 1950’, featuring the work of British based designers over the past 6 decades. This will be the first exhibition in the museum’s newly refurbished fashion galleries.

The exhibition will run from May 2012 but we are also thrilled that the V&A asked us to provide a gown to represent the contemporary aspect of ballgowns for the press launch which happened earlier today in the gorgeous Norfolk House Music Room.

We were also lucky to have one of our favourite models, Georgia Frost available to grace this specially created strapless lace print ball gown.

The same dress will also feature in the exhibition when it opens in May next year.

These sumptuous shots of Georgia wearing the Atsuko Kudo gown also show gowns from Worth (early 1950’s) and Hardy Amies (early 1960’s).

Other designers scheduled to be included in the exhibition are Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh, Giles, Hussein Chalayan, Julien MacDonald, Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, Norman Hartnell, Erdem, Ossie Clark, Bill Gibb, Zandra Rhodes, Victor Stiebel, Jonathan Saunders and Catherine Walker. No doubt there are many more to follow as there will be a total of 60 ballgowns on display.

V&A's 'Ballgowns' Exhibition

We hope you’ll have the opportunity to view the exhibition which runs from May 19th 2012 to January 6th 2013. ‘Ballgowns – British Glamour Since 1950’ is curated by Oriole Cullen and Sonnet Stanfill.

Atsuko Kudo – Latex Mermaids for Pirates of the Caribbean!

2011 October 22

Atsuko Kudo was recently commissioned to make mermaid tails (with matching bras) for a promotional shoot to launch the latest Pirates of the Caribbean DVD.

The pieces were custom designed in pearlescent green and the shoot took place at the Serpentine in London’s Hyde Park.

Unfortunately Johnny Depp wasn’t around but we feel that Captain Jack Sparrow would probably have approved!
